On Tuesday, February 7th, participating McDonald’s in Northeast Oklahoma and the greater Tulsa area will raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa during Day of Love. 50 cents from every Hamburger and Cheeseburger sold between 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at participating McDonald’s on Tuesday, February 7th will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tulsa. There are 75 McDonald’s locations participating in Day of Love, including all Tulsa metro locations and Northeast Oklahoma from Okmulgee to Stroud to Vinita! For more than 10 years, participating McDonald’s have hosted Day of Love. This year’s event is on Tuesday, February 7th from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Day of Love raises funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa, a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill or injured children being treated in Tulsa hospitals. To participate in Day of Love just stop by McDonald’s and get a hamburger or cheeseburger. 50 cents from every hamburger and cheeseburger sold will go to the Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa. The Day of Love has already raised nearly $659,000 over the past 10 years for the Ronald McDonald House, and the goal is to reach $1 million in the next few years. |

TULSA, OK – Four members of the Tulsa Oilers hockey club are sporting some color underneath their skates. Forwards Mike Ullrich and Dylan Clarke, as well as defensemen Luke Lucyk and Gio Flamminio had their toes painted pink in order to raise money for women and children affected by cancer in the Tulsa community. Pictures of the players’ feet can be viewed here on the Turn Tulsa Pink website. Fans can log on and donate by voting for their favorite toes. Voting will also take place at Turn Tulsa Pink In The Rink Night presented by TD Williamson on Saturday, February 11 at 7:35 p.m. The Oilers will wear special pink jerseys to be auctioned off after their game against the Evansville Icemen and portions of the ticket sales will benefit Turn Tulsa Pink charities which will be represented with information booths on the concourse level of the BOK Center. Agencies benefitting from Pink In The Rink include: Anna's Belle's Ovarian Support Group, Breast Impressions, Oklahoma Cervical Cancer Support, Oklahoma Family Network, Random Acts of Purpose, and Soulful Survivors. Whether directly or indirectly through our family and friends, cancer has touched us all. The 2012 Tulsa Indian Art Festival will be held February 16-17-18, 2012 (Thursday-Friday-Saturday) at the Glenpool Conference Center , Hwy. 75 and 121st St . The Featured Artist for 2012 is Debbe Edwards, member of the Cherokee Nation. The Premiere Night Benefit Dinner will be held on Thursday night, 7:00 p.m., at the historic Perryman Ranch (www.PerrymanRanch.com) – 1 ½ miles from the Center. Tulsa, Oklahoma - January 9, 2012 - The 2012 "Most Valuable Pooch" prize will be awarded on Sunday, February 19, at the 5th annual Dog Bowl, a fundraiser, which benefits Forrest and Jenny's Place Animal Rescue. The event, hosted at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main in Tulsa, will include competition events for dogs, live music from "Beacon Drive," food from The Dog House, and a silent auction. This year's event will also include a tribute to Betty White, honoring her many years of service in animal rescue. The event will be from 4-7pm, and doors open at 3:30pm. |
